Delbert Ellis Iszler, 83, Tappen, ND passed away Saturday afternoon May 11, 2024, at Sanford Health in Bismarck. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Thursday, May 16th at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.

Delbert was born March 25, 1941, on the Iszler farmstead in Tanner Township in Kidder County, the son of Anton and Margaret (Buchfink) Iszler. He was raised on the farm and attended country school a half mile south of his home.

He married Loretta Lou Lang on August 30, 1966, in Rapid City, SD. Delbert and Loretta took over the family farm in 1966 until they moved into Tappen in the late 1990’s.

Delbert enjoyed working in his garden and sharing his “harvest” with family and friends. He also enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his two sons Roger Iszler, Tappen, and Jason Iszler, Dawson, two daughters Sherri Iszler, Tappen, and JoAnn Rohrich, Wilton; his grandchildren: Connor Anderson, Steele, Ashton Iszler, Dawson, Skyler (Brianna) Rohrich, Wilton, Jory (Alec) Rohrich, Bismarck, Jacy and Kayla Rohrich, Wilton; his great grandchildren: Brooklynn and Teigan; his brother-in-law Dennis Lang, Denton, TX, sister-in-law Diane Lang, Bismarck, special nephew and niece Donnie and Pam Rudolph, Dawson, special friends Steve and Deana Stolz, Dawson, and Roger and Cindy Hasse, Tappen, and many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Loretta, his parents Anton and Margaret Iszler, his sister, brother in-law, and nephew Virgil, Viola, and Marvin Heiden, his brothers and sisters in-law Eddie and Beverly Rudolph, Leonard and Evelyn Lang, brothers in-law Larry and Wayne Lang, sister in-law Shirley Lang, and nephew Steve (Tex) Lang.
