VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NDHP) – 45-year-old Christopher P. Jacobson of Valley City suffered serious injuries in a Motorcycle crash north of Valley City on Sunday, May 12th about 5:30pm.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) said Jacobson was southbound on County Road 21 driving a 1980 Harley Davidson towards Valley City. He lost control and ran off the road coming to rest in the west ditch. Jacobson was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious life-threatening injuries.

The Barnes County Ambulance treated Jacobson on scene before he was transported to CHI Mercy Hospital in Valley City and then flown by Sanford AirMed to Sanford in Fargo.

Jacobson remains in the care of Sanford Health in Fargo. He was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
