JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Residents of Jamestown are gearing up for the 2024 Residential Curbside Cleanup Week scheduled from Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 2024.
To ensure a smooth process, residents are encouraged to visit the city’s official website, www.JamestownND.gov, under the Departments tab, Sanitation & Solid Waste, or check out their Facebook page, @JmstND, for detailed information on what items are accepted and not accepted for curbside pickup.
Residents are advised to place their items on the roadway as close to the curb or shoulder as possible. Materials must be set out by 7:00 a.m. on the morning of their designated cleanup day, which is determined by their street addresses. It’s essential to note that the assigned cleanup day may not align with the regular garbage collection schedule.
The cleanup schedule is as follows:
Monday, May 13: Southeast (SE) section of the City
Tuesday, May 14: Southwest (SW) section of the City
Wednesday, May 15: Northwest (NW) section of the City
Thursday, May 16: Northeast (NE) section of the City
Property owners are reminded that any items left at a property after the City truck has collected acceptable items will be their responsibility. There will be no return trips to collect the remaining items once the route is complete.
During Cleanup Week, the City Baler/Landfill will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each household is entitled to dispose of up to 500 pounds at no charge. Residents must provide proof of residency, such as a utility bill, to use this service.
