LAMOURE- A trio of three-run innings led the LaMoure-Litchville/Marion Loboes to a season sweep of the Carrington Cardinals with a 10-3 win on Monday at a rainy, windy Townsend Field, ending the Cardinals four-game winning streak.
After Grady Shipman scored Josh Bickett with a single in the top of the first, the Loboes responded with a three-run double by Logan Potts for a 3-1 lead. The lead would eventually be 4-1 before Carrington (6-7, 3-3) would get another RBI and a run scored from Shipman to make it 4-3.
But in the fifth and sixth innings, LaMoure-LM (4-4, 2-3) would score three times in each frame on a combined nine hits to pull away.
The Cardinals are back in action Tuesday in Steele for a doubleheader against Kidder County and the final two Region III games of the regular season. Coverage begins at 3:50pm on KDAK The Cardinal.
