Grady Shipman and Jacob Boeshans combined on a two-hit shutout as the Cardinals (5-6) defeated Nelson County 4-0.
Carrington scored two runs in each of the first two innings of the five-inning game and Shipman (2-1) struck out four over four shutout innings while going 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI in the win. Boeshans struck out the side in the fifth to preserve the shutout.

Tate Wolsky went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two stolen bases, and an RBI as the Cardinals (6-6) got back to .500 with a 9-6 win over the Thunder.
After trailing 2-0 early, Carrington responded with a run in the first and three in the second in support of winning pitcher Ethan Roller (5 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 4 BB, K).
The Cardinals would add four in the sixth to break open a 5-3 game. Wolsky earned the save.
