VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDalota.com)  The 70s theme seems to suit the VCSU Scholarship Auction.

Valley City State University drew a packed house at the Eagles Club for “Get Groovy with the Vikings” Friday night.

The night featured a theme from the 1970s, with a thene-dress contest, several prize raffles and giveaways, and a silent and live auction of many goods from around the region.

Money raised from the auction benefits scholarships at Valley City State, both academic and athletic.

President Alan LaFave thanked the VCSU Foundation, student and staff for their work in organizating the event.  The event had a goal of $120,000.
