CARRINGTON – University of Jamestown Men’s Golf took two of the top three places in the VCSU Invitational, which included Tuesday at CrossRoads Golf Club.
UJ’s Orange team won the event, and the Black team was third.
Jackson Worner won individually with 5-under 139 (72-67). Two Orange teammates followed: Gehrig Geiss in second with 1-over 145 (74-71) and Max Noffsinger third with 2-over 146 (71-75). Ben Schafer was sixth at 6-over 150 (74-76). Drew Jordan finished in a tie for 14th at 13-over 157 (80-77).
On the Black team, Aidan Hall was fifth at 5-over 149 (75-74). Logan Douglas finished 12th at 11-over 155 (78-77). Logan Schons was 13th with 12-over 156 (80-76). Jeremy Williams tied for 18th at 15-over 159 (81-78). Cole Campbell placed 20th at 16-over 160.
Easton Romsdal finished in a 14th-place tie at 13-over 157 (78-79). Aiden McClain shot 14-over 158 (82-76) and tied for 16th. Ben Hines tied for 21st at 17-over 161 (80-81).
The Jimmies will compete this weekend in the GPAC Championship in Beatrice, Nebraska.
