SIOUX CITY, IA – Freshman outside hitter Caydann Cox of University of Jamestown Men’s Volleyball has been named as the GPAC Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year.

In leading the Jimmies to their fourth consecutive GPAC regular season and tournament championship, Cox is best in the GPAC in hitting percentage at .372.  He has 246 kills (3.73 per set) and 149 digs.

Senior Caylor Cox joins his younger brother on the GPAC all-conference first team, as do setter Gaven Hackley and libero Sebastain Ignaczak.  Ignaczak was named as the co-defender of the year with Owen Anderson of Morningside.

The Jimmies’ Tysen Myers and Tomasz Sweiderski were named to the second team.  Donte Jennings and Camden Steckler were given honorable mention.

Jamestown will open play on Wednesday, May 1 at the NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Championship in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with the first of their two pool play matches against Mount Mercy.
