MITCHELL, SD – In their next-to-last doubleheader of the regular season, Jamestown Jimmies Softball swept Dakota Wesleyan Tuesday 9-3 and 12-4 at Cadwell Park.

Game 1: Jamestown 9, Dakota Wesleyan 3

A six-run fourth inning gave Jamestown (27-13, 11-8 GPAC) the lead for good.  Maddie Spaeth, Gentrey Turin and Trinity Gregg had RBI singles, followed by a two-run error and an RBI double by Abby Blair.

Spaeth had three hits.  Gregg, Blair and Turin had two hits each.

Hope Ransome (12-4) pitched a complete game.

Game 2: Jamestown 12, Dakota Wesleyan 4 (5)

15 hits helped Jamestown (28-13, 12-8) to the sweep.  Kayla Quintanilla and Ally Battistoni each had three hits.  Blair, Spaeth, Turin and Gracie Fisher had two hits each.

Blair (10-6) struck out five in five innings in the circle.

The Jimmies will play their final GPAC regular season games Saturday against Morningside in Sioux City, Iowa.
