MINTO- Kaydence VanRay went 3-for-4 with two triples, a double and five RBIs as the Carrington softball team picked up their first Region II win of the season by defeating Midway/Minto 10-6 on the road Monday.

Calleigh Hewitt went the distance and struck out nine in the circle and went 1-for-2 with a walk and a HBP and scored three runs herself.

Carrington (1-2, 1-1) will host Nelson County/Midkota (2-1, 1-1) on Tuesday at home in another Region II matchup.  First pitch is scheduled for 2:30pm.
