VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCPS) – Each school year, we are excited to announce and celebrate the Teacher of the Year (TOY.)

Since 1983, Valley City Public Schools has been honoring a teacher (regular or special education), counselor, or librarian with the TOY award.

Superintendent Josh Johnson said we would kindly ask you to take a minute and submit a nomination for a teacher in our school district that is deserving of this award.  Below, we’ve added a link for the nominations.  The deadline to submit a nomination is Wednesday, April 24th.  At the beginning of May, we will be announcing the 2024 Teacher of the Year for Valley City Public Schools.

Our last day of school in 2023-2024 will be on Wednesday, May 22nd.  This day will be an early dismissal school day.  We will be following the schedule for early dismissal days that will be provided to you in the next month by our school principals.  While we begin to count down to the end of the school year, this becomes a very busy time of year.  Please stay tuned for announcements on field trips, class activities, special events (prom, graduation, etc.), concerts, and other school-related activities.
