JAMESTOWN – Another conference championship is only one match win away for Jamestown Jimmie Men’s Volleyball.

Jamestown swept Kansas Wesleyan Friday 25-12, 25-12, 25-18 in the GPAC Men’s Volleyball semifinal at Harold Newman Arena.

Gaven Hackley and Caydann Cox each led Jamestown (19-1) with 12 kills.  Hackley hit. 611, had 12 assists and four digs.  Cox hit .571 with six digs and two aces.  Caylor Cox had eight kills (.348) and eight digs.

A Tomasz Swiderski kill started a run of four straight points to extend Jamestown’s lead to 16-7 in the second set.  Caydann Cox had his two aces in the last five points of the set.

After trailing 11-10 in the third set, UJ scored six straight points and didn’t trail by less than four points in the rest of the match.

Jamestown will play Morningside Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM at Harold Newman Arena for the GPAC championship.
