The Valley City Boys Golf Team competed in their first event of the season yesterday at Village Green Golf Course in Moorhead finishing 13th out of 13 teams, as Grand Forks Red River won the event by 16 strokes (297) over second place finisher Fargo Davies.

The top golfer on the day for Valley City was Andrew Tangen who shot an 88 with Christian Beutler the next best finisher for Valley City shooting a 93. Sam Meyer and Zach Sykora would both shoot 114 with Peyton Olson rounding out the Hi-Liner contingency shooting a 117.

The next contest for the Valley City Hi-Liners will be Thursday, April 18th at the Madison Golf & Country Club in South Dakota.
