JAMESTOWN – Distance runner Gabriel Trevino won the 5000 meters Friday at the Al Cassell Track & Field Classic at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium.
Trevino, a senior, ran a personal best 15:45.25. The Jimmies’ David Martin was second and Landon Thompson was third.
Also for Jamestown’s men, Bryson Tripp was second in the 110m hurdles, Jorden Morales was second in the discus, Josiah Rudloff was second in the triple jump and Dawson Sedivec was second in the hammer throw.
Among Jamestown women, Jordyn Thorson finished second in the 800 meters, Keely Arnston was second in the 5000 meters and Paige Erhardt was second in the high jump.
On April 19-20, UJ track & field athletes will compete in the Bison Open in Fargo, the Red Raider Open in Orange City, Iowa, and the Phil Esten Challenge in Lacrosse, Wisconsin.
