SIOUX CITY – Jamestown Jimmies pitcher Sunny Halsey was named as the GPAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 7.

Halsey, a junior from Honolulu, Hawai’i, threw a three-hit shutout in an 8-0 Jamestown win over College of St. Mary on Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader inside the Nelson Family Bubble.  Halsey struck out eight, just one below her career high, and walked only one.  She threw 77 pitches, 56 for strikes, in improving to 3-0 this season.
