LaMoure, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – LaMoure’s Zoar Church Lutheran Youth Organization is once again going to provide the community with another evening surrounding mental health awareness and suicide prevention with the hope of making this a yearly tradition in memory of their member, Carter Bowman, and all those lives lost to suicide.
This year, Carli Bushoven with the Madison Holleran Foundation will speak virtually at LaMoure School on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. There is no cost to attend. Carli is a professional mental health speaker and her story gives hope a voice. Carli tragically lost her younger sister, Madison Holleran, to suicide. Beautiful, athletic, kind, and smart, Madison was thought by many to have “had it all.” Her death came as a shock to not only her family, but her friends, community, and people across the country – and became the catalyst for the New York Times bestselling book “What Made Maddy Run?” by Kate Fagan.

A special thanks to LaMoure Baseball Boosters for their generous support to help make this event possible for our community. Following the speaker, everyone is welcome to stay and visit with one another while enjoying a sweet treat. Let’s work on building a community that comes together to support one another!
