JAMESTOWN – As well as Jamestown Blue Jays Softball’s opening doubleheader went, with two decisive wins over Turtle Mountain, the second day of play was just the opposite.
Sheyenne controlled both games in an 11-0 and 11-1 sweep of Jamestown inside the Nelson Family Bubble at the University of Jamestown.
Presley Tvetter pitched a five-hit shutout with seven strikeouts in the first game for the Mustangs (2-0). Tvetter and Addie Rolstad each drove in three runs.
Kate Geisler doubled, homered and drove in three runs in the second game for Sheyenne. Addison Graves doubled and drove in the only run for Jamestown (2-2).
The Blue Jays will host Bismarck in a WDA doubleheader Monday.
