JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jays Softball opened its 2024 season Wednesday with a doubleheader sweep of Turtle Mountain 30-0 and 27-4 inside the Nelson Family Bubble at the University of Jamestown.

Makenna Nold was 4-of-6 with a home run and 9 RBI in the doubleheader and struck out eight in three innings while combining on a no-hitter in the first game.

Sophia Bond had four hits and six RBI in the two games.

Madilynn Hoff struck out five in three innings for the victory in the second game.

The Blue Jays will host West Fargo Sheyenne Saturday at Trapper Lawrence Field.
