(NAFB) – At the Advanced Bioeconomy Conference in Washington, D.C., the National Corn Growers Association sponsored a special session on renewable chemicals and other materials.

The session outlined the national incentive for biobased chemicals and renewable materials that NCGA, the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, and other partners have been working on. The panel was moderated by Sarah McKay, NCGA Market Development Director. “U.S. corn farmers continue to produce an affordable, high-quality, and reliable crop,” she said. “That crop can be turned into more than food, fuel, and fiber.” The corn kernel can be utilized in so many ways, which is why NCGA focuses on new uses for corn as an industrial feedstock.
