JAMESTOWN – Much of the match wasn’t easy, but Jamestown Men’s Volleyball kept its winning streak going on Thursday.
The Jimmies earned their eighth straight win, topping Dordt 25-20, 25-21, 25-17 at Harold Newman Arena.
Tomasz Swiderski had 15 kills and hit .344 for Jamestown (16-1, 7-0 GPAC). He also had six digs and three blocks.
Caydann Cox had 14 kills (.444) and four digs.
Gaven Hackley registered 36 assists.
Dordt (6-10, 4-3) cut what was an eight-point lead for Jamestown to 20-17 in the first set before the Jimmies scored the last five points.
The Defenders then led 7-2 in the second set before Jamestown rallied. The Jimmies were down 18-16 before a 9-3 run ended the frame.
In the third set, UJ never trailed. After leading by only 7-5, the Jimmies then stormed to a 16-8 advantage, then 22-12.
Jamestown will host Morningside on Thursday, April 4 at 7:00 PM at Harold Newman Arena.
