VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCPR) – Valley City Parks and Recreation (VCPR) is thrilled to announce the release of the 2024
Summer Guide, packed with youth and adult programs, play park, events, camps, July Celebration schedule, and facility information. With a blend of classics and exciting new additions, this summer will be jam-packed with fun, fitness, and community engagement.
Familiar favorites including tennis, youth and travel baseball/softball, men’s softball, swimming lessons, and track will be offered as well as the reintroduction of Nickel League Softball!
VCPR is also offering new programs and camps including a 2×2 Sand Volleyball League, Pottery classes, and the Just Kids Sports Camp, a comprehensive camp focusing on basketball, soccer, football, nutrition, leadership, sportsmanship, and games. This camp aims to provide not only athletic development but also essential life skills in a fun and supportive environment.
“We’re excited to have a few new things going on this summer,” says Recreation Manager, Amy Pederson. “With two new sand volleyball courts, we wanted to find a way to utilize them more during the week, so we are now offering a 2×2 volleyball league on Thursday nights. We are also partnering with Jordan Kent, University of Oregon track, football, and basketball athlete who also played three years in the NFL, to host a multi-sport Kids Camp!”
The 2024 Summer Guide is now available online at vcparks.com providing easy access to detailed program information and registration. All summer program registration is open (swimming lesson registration will open May 1), and participants are encouraged to register early to be guaranteed a spot in each program as space is limited! Any questions can be sent to Amyp@vcparks.com or 701-845-3294.
