CATHAY, N.D. (NDHP) – The driver of a tractor who died after he was ejected from the vehicle on Monday, March 18th shortly after 9am has been identified.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said a 2021 Deutz-Fahr tractor driven by 60-year-old Mitchell Lloyd of Fessenden was westbound in the 4800 Block of 9th Street NE about six miles west of Cathay, ND. The vehicle left the roadway and entered the north ditch. Lloyd was ejected. The tractor continued through a farm field and came to rest at the edge of the field in a ditch. Lloyde was pronounced dead at the scene.
