VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) Reagan Berg led the Hi-Liner girls to a strong start to their Class A track and field season in Grand Forks Saturday.
The Hi-Liners participated in the first state indoor meet of the season Saturday at the University of North Dakota. The Hi-Liner girls placed fifth, and the boys eighth, in the event.
Berg set the senior school record in the 800-meter run, winning the event in 2:24.57. She also finished runner-up in the 1600-meter run and ran the opening leg of the 4×400-meter relay that placed runner-up.
Derek Shape led the boys, placing third in the 200-meter run and running a leg of the fourth-place 4×200-meter relay.
