Leah Trumbauer, Dalton Lamp and Thomas Newman were Jamestown Blue Jays named to All-Western Dakota Association basketball teams, released Thursday.
Trumbauer, a junior, is the lone Blue Jay on the All-WDA girls team. Trumbauer was the only player with significant varsity experience for Jamestown before the 2023-24 season. She was second on the team in scoring at 9.2 points per game and in rebounding at 5.0.
Trumbauer hit 28 three-pointers, shot 71% on free throws and averaged 1.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Lamp, a senior, was the leading scorer for the Blue Jay boys at 17.2 points per game. He also averaged 5.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.9 steals per contest. Lamp hit 62 three-pointers and shot 70% of his free throws.
Lamp had eight games of at least 20 points, including back-to-back 30-point games. He scored 39 against Bemidji (MN) on December 28 at the North Star State Hardwood Showcase in Hibbing, Minnesota, then poured in 30 the next day against Duluth Denfeld.
Newman, a junior, was Jamestown’s second leading scorer at 16.5 points per game. He averaged 5.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals. Newman shot 71% from the free throw line.
