VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Gosh, we had a late fall, snow and cold in mid-December with a nasty ice storm at Christmas. Since then the winter weather has been amazingly good. Perhaps there are folks older than me who may remember similar weather, maybe someone like Ken DeKrey who sees 90 years on earth just around the corner, hahaha.
For people who work outside, temperatures are allowing workers the comfort of wearing considerable lighter clothing than normal! Good for you all.

We are Blessed to have dedicated law enforcement personnel in our city, county and state who willingly face danger on our behalf every day. Police Officers, Deputies and Highway Patrol Officers are our friends so we need to be cooperative if approached as they don’t know if one is friend or foe. Say “Thank you” to law enforcement officers.
March is “Women’s History Month”. Some women who have shaped our history are Rosa Parks, Clara Barton, Amelia Earhart, Serena Williams, Babe Didrikson Zaharias and there are numerous others about whom you may enjoy reading.
This week Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) is leading a group of power professionals and policymakers to Washington DC for the American Public Power Association (APPA) Legislative Rally and lobbying for our Public Power Communities in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa. Some topics to be shared with legislators are resource adequacy, protecting the supply chain, encourage permitting reform, tax exempt financing with advanced refunding and certainly protecting the grid security. Some of said topics are also important to investor owned utilities.
