JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Chamber) – The Young Professionals of Jamestown (YPJ) will be hosting an academy centered on growing leadership skills that can be utilized in their careers.

Participants will attend 6 learning sessions with different speakers on a variety of topics including Leadership vs. Management, Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace, Business “Love Language”, community involvement, and managing relationships as a leader.

“The YPJ Leadership Academy is our way of connecting professionals in our community with leaders on a variety of topics,” stated Ben Steinolfson, YPJ President. “We have six weeks of great speakers to give participants tools that can help grow their own leadership skills in their own workplace.”

Speakers include Mike Delfs, Jamestown Regional Medical Center; Jodi Bruns, NDSU Extension; Lindsie Schoenack, Anne Carlsen Center: Community Involvement Panel with Tina Schwartz, Tricia Seckerson, and Dustin Jensen; Dr. Liz Hunt, University of Jamestown, and Dr. Polly Peterson, University of Jamestown. The series will wrap up with YPJ President Ben Steinolfson on how participants can utilize these new leadership skills.

All sessions will be from 6-7:30 PM Thursday nights beginning March 21. The cost to attend is $100 for a chamber member and $200 for non-members. Discounts are available for multiple participants from one employer. Class size is limited to 15.
