MAYVILLE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Day two of the 2024 Division A Region 2 Girls Basketball tournament was held on the campus of Mayville State University at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse with two semifinal games, here are the results:

No. 1 (#1) Thompson 54  No. 4 Four Winds/Minnewaukan 34

No. 2 (#4) Devils Lake 54  No. 3 Carrington 39

The Cardinals led by two points midway through the third quarter, but the full court press put on the entire game by the Firebirds of Devils Lake was just to tough causing 31 Carrington turnovers, helping them to victory and defeating the Cardinals for the third time this year. Leading the way for DL was Tylie Brodina with 17 points, four steals and five rebounds. Presley Brown added 10 points and five steals. DL had a total of 17 steals in the game. Carrington was led by Kacie Rexin with 11.

THURSDAYS SCHEDULE:

530pm – Carrington vs. FWM (3rd place)

7pm – Thompson vs. Devils Lake (championship)
