Jamestown, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Girls Class B Region 1 Tournament began on Monday February 19th at the Jamestown Civic Center. Results will be posted below as games go final.

Game 1: #5 Sargent County 47 – 33 Napoleon-GS 

The Bulldogs advanced to the Region 1 Semifinals with their victory against the Imperials. The game started well for the Imperials as they led after one quarter of play 11-10 and trailed going into the half by only 19-15. However Sargent County stepped on the gas in the 3rd quarter to take a 35-20 lead. They would maintain that lead for the rest of the game to take the 47-33 victory.

The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Karleigh Kadoun with 14 (6/19 FG). The Imperials were led by Tayton Mcdowell with 11 (4/16 FG, 2/3 FT).

The Bulldogs advance to the semifinals where they will play LaMoure-LM . The Imperials end their season with a 8-15 record.

Game 2: LaMoure-LM 48 – 30 Oakes

The Oakes Tornadoes season came to a close as the Loboes punched their ticket to the Semifinals by a score of 40-38. The game started slow for both teams as neither team could get anything going for the first 12 minutes of play. That’s when LLM came alive to take a 27-16 lead at the half. The game was won in the 3rd quarter when Oakes would only score 2 points. The Loboes would build the lead to 35-18 and maintain that lead to the end winning 48-30.

The leading scorer was Tessa Rassmussen with 16 (7/17 FG). For Oakes their leading scorer was Brianna Schmitz with 7 (2/11 FG, 2/4 FT).

The Oakes Tornadoes season comes to a close with a 15-8 record. The Loboes will advance to play Sargent County tomorrow at 6:00 PM in the semis.

Game 3: #6 EKM Rebels  60  vs  Wyndmere/Lidgerwood  Warbirds  21

Mataeya Mathern scored a game high 20 points and 6 steals to lead the 6th rated Rebels to a 60-21 win over the Warbirds. Grace Irey added 10 points for the Rebels and Libby Mathern added 5 points and a game high 11 rebounds. EKM never trailed in the game and led 32-12 at halftime and 48-19 after 3 quarters. The Warbirds were paced by Emerson Johnson with 9 points and 8 points from Olivia Frolek. The Warbirds season ends with a 12-11 overall recored and the Rebels improved to 19-4 and will play Maple River at approximately 7:30 0n Tuesday night.

Game 4: #7 Maple River Raiders  48  vs  Linton/HMB Lions  40

Maple River outscored Linton-HMB 18-5 in the fourth quarter to advance to the semifinals against E-K-M. Adyson Hannig (6′ JR.) scored a game high 16 points and hauled in 11 rebounds to aid the Raiders victory. Hannig also had a game high 3 blocked shots. Brielle Killoran also had a double-double for the Raiders with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Eighth grader Violet Richman added 14 points for Maple River. The Lions were paced by Allie Dockter and Jersey Vogel offensively with 14 points each. Emma Weiser had a double-double with 10 points and a game high 13 rebounds. Linton-HMB ends the season 16-7 overall and Maple River moves to 19-4.

Tuesday nights games will start at 6:00 with a pregame starting at 5:45.
