MINOT – 11th-ranked Jamestown lost its final regular season ACHA women’s hockey game Saturday, falling 3-1 at fourth-ranked Minot State.
As they had in a loss on Friday, the Jimmies (13-16-0) scored first with Crystal Wale’s team-leading 11th goal at 1:26 of the first period.
Makena Welby tied the game for Minot State (20-10-1) later in the first period. She scored the game-winner early in the second period and Gillian Gervin closed the scoring with a third period powerplay goal.
Makenzie Gibson made 29 saves in net for the Jimmies.
Jamestown will play in the Women’s Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs, which begin Thursday in Lynchburg, Virginia.
