Fargo, N.D (NewsDakota.com)—–The South Border (SB) Mustangs placed 11 0f 12 individual including 1 champion, Shane Nitschke at 215 pounds. Nitschke (35-1), defeated Carter Engebretson (25-7) of Harvey-Wells County (HWC) by fall at 3:21 of the second period. SB scored 185 team points to easily outscore runner-up Lisbon with 150 points. New Salem-Almont was third with 115.5, Northern Lights was fourth with 110.5, and Carrington finished fifth with 85.5 points. SB had 2 other wrestlers reach the finals but finished in second place. Brody Hoffman (152)(31-9), the 2 seed lost to top seeded Blaze Reinke (41-2) of Lisbon 3-1. Jace Nitschke (172)(29-10), lost a SV 3-1 OT decision to top seeded Drew Zwak (53-6) of Bishop Ryan (BR).
