JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2024 Jamestown High School and Middle School Speech season is underway.
The first tournament of our season at Hazelton on January 27th resulted in two state qualifiers: Haley Mathias qualified in Extemporaneous Speaking and Emma Hoke qualified her Speech to Entertain.
At our second meet, St. Mary’s in Bismarck on February 10th , Mathias qualified in Serious Prose and Hoke in Poetry.
We had two more qualifiers join them; Mathew Motschenbacher qualified in three events: Storytelling, Impromptu, and Humorous Duo. Eden Ellingsen qualified with her partner Motschenbacher in Humorous Duo. We are proud of our veteran speakers and excited by the large number of middle school students who have joined us this season.
The team travels to Carrington on March 2nd.
