Superintendent Josh Johnson said we recently received a $50,000 behavioral health grant from the Medica Foundation and Essentia Health to improve how we are supporting students’ needs with their behavioral health, mental health, substance use, stressors, and crises issues.
He said thanks to the Medica Foundation and Essentia Health (Dr. Tanya Diegel and Sarah Hansen) for supporting the behavioral health needs of our students at Valley City Public Schools.
Johnson said the results of a recent survey will be reviewed by our behavioral health team members and the resources with this grant will be used to make improvements needed to better support our students at Valley City Public Schools.
