JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The safety of all ice fishing enthusiasts has prompted the cancellation of the Jamestown Rural Fire Department’s 16th Annual Ice Fishing Tournament scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2024.
Organizers announced that the event, which typically draws a large crowd to the Jamestown Reservoir, will not take place this year due to concerns about ice conditions.
Despite the cancellation of the tournament, the festivities will continue as planned at The Club 1883/Knights of Columbus on February 16th and 17th. Participants are encouraged to join in the raffles held at the venue, with a variety of prizes up for grabs.
The fishing prizes, traditionally a highlight of the tournament, will be drawn for before the main raffle, ensuring that participants still have the chance to win coveted prizes.
Organizers expressed their gratitude to the community for their ongoing support and encouraged everyone to join in the festivities at The Club 1883/Knights of Columbus.
