MANDAN – The position remains precarious for Jamestown Blue Jays Girls Hockey.
Kaebry Weeks scored twice Tuesday as Mandan blanked the Jays 3-0 at the Starion Sports Complex. This leaves Jamestown tied with Century for the eighth and last spot for the NDHSAA Girls Hockey State Tournament later this month.
Keiley Bures stopped all 25 shots in the Braves’ net for her seventh shutout of the season.
Olivia Sorlie made 30 saves for Jamestown.
With three games remaining in the regular season, the Blue Jays and Century each have 19 points, one point better than Williston and three points ahead of Minot. Jamestown does not have the tie-breaker over either Century or Williston.
JHS will host Dickinson Friday at Wilson Arena. Coverage will begin at 4:15 on The Voice of the Blue Jays, Jamestown 107.1.
