Valley City, ND (NewsDakota.com)- The District 1 Girls Basketball bracket was revealed on Monday February 5th. The Tournament will take place in Wahpeton at NDSCS.

The entire Tournament will start with a play in game on Tuesday Feb 6th with a play in game between the 8 and 9 teams in District 1 in Barnes County North and Hankinson at 7:00 PM in Hankinson. The winner of the play in game will then go to Wahpeton where they will face the overall #1 team in the District in Maple River at 3:00 PM on Friday February 9th.

Day one will continue with #4 Wyndmere-Lidgerwood taking on #5 Richland at approximately 4:30 PM. Winners of the first two games will then take each other on on Saturday around 6:00 PM. The losers will take each other on in game 1 on Saturday at 3:00 PM in an elimination game.

Day one continues at around 6:00 PM with #2 Sargent County taking on #7 Enderlin. Following that game, at around 7:30 PM the day will wrap up with #3 Oakes vs #6 Tri-State. The winner of these two games will play at 7:30 PM on Saturday in a semifinal. The losers play at around 4:30 PM on Saturday in an elimination game.

Championship Monday will begin with two Region 1 Tournament qualifiers beginning at 4:30 PM with the second game beginning at 6:00 PM. The District 1 Championship takes place at around 7:30 PM. The winner of the Championship will claim the #1 spot at the Region 1 Tournament in Jamestown on February 19th-22nd.
