JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jay Girls Basketball saw its frustration continue Tuesday.  But, the JHS boys then had a game they felt was long in coming.

Jamestown was stopped by St. Mary’s 69-36 in girls play at Jerry Meyer Arena, then the Blue Jay boys stopped their seven-game losing streak with a 78-62 win over the Saints.

Girls: St. Mary’s 69, Jamestown 36

Lexi Gerving scored 20 as St. Mary’s (7-8, 4-7 WDA) won back-to-back games for the first time this season and swept the regular season series.

Adisyn Yunck led Jamestown (4-11, 1-9) with 11 points and hit a three-pointer.  Leah Trumbauer also hit a three-pointer and scored 10.

Boys: Jamestown 78, St. Mary’s 62

Jamestown (4-11, 2-8) won for the first time since December 29, stopping a seven-game losing streak and winning at home for the first time this season.

Ryan Larson, one of four seniors saluted before the game, led the Blue Jays with 21 points.  Dalton Lamb hit five three-pointers and scored 19.  Noah Meissner had 18.

Christian Benning scored 20 for St. Mary’s (1-14, 1-10), who lost for the eighth straight time since defeating Jamestown in Bismarck on December 19.
