JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An error was made by the Stutsman County Auditor’s Office on total mill levies for Jamestown Public School District included on the 2023 Real Estate Tax Statements and 2024 Mobile Home Tax Statements sent to taxpayers on December 14, 2023.

Amended Real Estate and Mobile Home Tax Statements with the corrected mill levies and letter of explanation have been mailed to landowners in the Jamestown Public School District. Any owner who has made their tax payment on the original statement amount will be receiving a refund check in by mail for the over payment.

There is no estimated date for final mailing of all refunds. Any owner who has a pending application for a homestead or veteran’s credit, or other abatement application will receive a second amended statement at a later date reflecting those changes.
