Valley City, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Bracket for the Region 1 Wrestling Tournament in Lisbon has been released with Lisbon as the #1 Seed.

The Region 1 Tournament will begin at 10:00 AM on February 3rd with #1 Lisbon taking on #8 Northern Cass on mat 1 and at the same time on mat 2 will be #4 Oakes vs #5 EEK. The winner of both those duals will face in the semifinal matchup.

At 11:00 AM #3 Kindred will take to mat 1 to take on #6 LaMoure-LM while on mat 2 #2 South Border will take on #7 Napoleon. The winner of these duals will meet in the semifinals.

The winners of the semifinal duals will advance to the championship with an automatic bid to the State Tournament at the Fargo Dome. The runner up may face a challenge from the winner of the 3rd place dual if they had not already faced them earlier in the day which would also be for a bid into the State Tournament. Two teams from the Region Tournament will go to the State Tournament.
