DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Carrington led by 12 points midway through the third, but the Devils Lake Firebirds came back, holding Carrington to just three fourth quarter points and pick up the important Division A Region 2 win, 52-44. No. 4 DL is now 4-2 in the region and 10-4 overall, RV Carrington falls to 4-3 in the region and 11-4 overall.
There were three ties and five lead changes early on in the game, Carrington led 29-24 at the break and 41-37 at the end of three. But some tough defense and a full court press for most of the game caused 32 Carrington turnovers aiding the Devils Lake come back. DL took the lead with about four minutes left in the fourth quarter and kept it. Leading the way for the Firebirds was Torri Fee with 14, including two 3-pointers, Jolie Martinson added 10. Carrington was led by Kacie Rexin with 14, including two 3-pointers.
