Carrington, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—-The second rated Devils Lake Firebirds had 14 different players score in a 46 point victory over the Carrington Cardinals in Class A region 2 action. Drew Hofstad and Wylee Delorme paced the balanced Firebird offense with 10 points each whuch were scored in the first half. Hofstad made three of the 13 three pointers and Delorme added a pair. Parker Brodina added 8 points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds. Joel Nelson added 9 points and 6 rebounds. The Firedirds outscored the Cardinals 43-14 in the first half and scored 32 points off the bench. Carrington was paced by Josh Bickett with a game high 13 points and 3 rebounds. Grady Shipman added 8 points and a game high 8 rebounds. The Firebirds held a 39-24 advantage in rebounds. Devils Lake improves to 11-1 overall and 4-1 in the region and Carrington drops to 1-10 overall and 0-5 in region play. The Cardinals will travel to Northern Cass on Friday night.
