JAMESTOWN – Chase Collings had had enough of Williston’s losing streak, and he did something about it.

Collings scored a hat trick Saturday, including a third period game-winner and empty net goal, as Williston Boys Hockey stopped a six-game losing streak with a 4-2 win over Jamestown at Wilson Arena.

Collings opened the game’s scoring 3:20 into the first period, but Tyson Jorrisen tied the game for the Blue Jays (5-8-1-0, 5-7-1-0) just over four minutes later.

Jackson Maddock scored 7:17 into the second period and Jamestown led 2-1, but a Matthew Schmit goal at 13:02 in the second tied the game for Williston.

Collings then scored the winner at 8:46 of the third period, then sealed the game by scoring into an empty net with three seconds left.

Louis Kjellberg made 25 saves for Jamestown.

The Blue Jays will host Hazen-Beulah Saturday at Wilson Arena.
