DICKINSON – January had been tough for Jamestown Blue Jay Girls Hockey – until Friday.

Anna Lunde scored twice, Stella Belzer had three assists and Olivia Sorlie had her third shutout of the season in goal as Jamestown broke their six-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over Dickinson at the West River Ice Center.

Lunde broke a scoreless tie 5:57 into the second period.  Hannah Soulis made the Jamestown lead 2-0 at 10:57 of the second.  Lunde scored again 7:29 into the third period.

Sorlie made 22 saves for Jamestown (3-7-2-3, 3-6-2-3 ND League).

Of Jamestown’s five wins this season, four have been on the road.

The Blue Jays moved back into eighth place with 16 points, one more than Bismarck Legacy, whom Jamestown will host Tuesday at Wilson Arena.
