JAMESTOWN – University of Jamestown Softball will host five GPAC doubleheaders and six games in the Nelson Family Bubble Tournament this coming season. The 2024 home schedule was announced Thursday by Jimmies’ Head Coach Kevin Gall.
After the February 6 season opener at Minot State, the Jimmies will host the Nelson Family Bubble Tournament February 9-11, playing Valley City State, Dickinson State, UMary, Northern State and Mayville State. Also, Minot State will meet Jamestown in the bubble for a doubleheader on February 13.
The first GPAC home doubleheader at “Trapper” Lawrence Field for Jamestown will be against Mount Marty on March 23. Northwestern will be hosted on April 3, with College of Saint Mary in on April 6.
Valley City State returns for a non-conference doubleheader on April 9.
The last two GPAC home doubleheaders for the Jimmies will have them host Doane on April 19 and Hastings on April 20.
Again, the top eight regular season finishers will make the GPAC Tournament, with the top two teams hosting bracket play on May 1-2. The two bracket winners will then play on May 4 for the GPAC Championship.
