Carrington, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—-The Grafton Spoilers (4th ranked team in class A) came out firing in the first quarter and grabbed a 27-14 lead and cruised to a 91-34 win over the Cardinals. Grafton’s balanced offense put 5 players in double figures paced by 5’11 senior guard Braylon Baldwin with a game high 21 points (5-5 from the free throw line, 2 3-pointers) all in the first 3 quarters. Ryan Hanson (14), Tony Villarreal (12), Kyler Droog (11), and Reggie Rice (11) paced the Spoiler offense. The Cards were paced by Josh Bickett with 16 points including a pair of three pointers. The Cards were held to just 20 total points in the final 3 quarters. Grafton held a 45-22 halftime lead and outscored the Cards 31-8 in the third quarter to put the game completely out of reach. Grafton improved to 9-1 overall and 3-1 in region play and Carrington dropped to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in region play. The Cards will travel to Cando on Saturday to play second rated class B North Star.
