FARGO – The offense continues to be elusive for Jamestown Blue Jays Girls Hockey.

Ellery Wilcox scored the game’s only goal with 5:46 left in the second period Tuesday as Fargo Davies edged Jamestown 1-0 at Scheels Arena.

Once again, a superb effort by Olivia Sorlie in the net for Jamestown (2-7-2-3, 2-6-2-3 ND League) wasn’t enough.  Sorlie made 41 saves, but has only four wins despite a goals against average of 2.13 and a save percentage of .941.

Since defeating Davies 5-4 on December 28 at Wilson Arena, Jamestown has six straight losses, two by shootout.  In that streak, the Blue Jays have scored only three goals and been shut out four times.  The shutout was the sixth against Jamestown this season and four of their losses have been by 1-0.

Jamestown, with 13 points, remains one point ahead of Williston and Devils Lake for eighth place.

The Blue Jays will next play Friday night at Dickinson.
