HUNTER, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Junior Haidyn Crocket for Northern Cass had a game high 28 points but it wasn’t enough as Carrington defeats the Jaguars of NC 63-55 Tuesday night. Carrington improves to 9-3 overall, NC drops to 9-4 overall.

The game was close throughout, but Carrington led most of the way, the game was tied at 29 at halftime. The Cardinals were strong on the offensive board, forced 18 NC turnovers and hit some big free throws in the fourth quarter to aid the Class A non-region contest win. Carrington had four players in double figures, Edyn Hoornaert had 16, and the 12 each for Kacie Rexin, Madison Johnson and Isabel Wendel. Josie Jensen had 15 for NC.

Next up for Carrington will be Thursday in Carrington for a boys and girls double header against fellow Class A Region 2 team, the Grafton Spoilers. KDAK 1600/100.1 and newsdakota.com will have both games starting approximately 5:30pm with girls game, boys to follow.
