HANKINSON, N.D. (NDHP) – A 59-year-old Terry Pierson of Fargo died following a crash on Interstate 29 south of Hankinson on Friday, January 12th around 8:15 am.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) said Pierson was driving a Honda Odyssey northbound on Interstate 29 near Exit 1. The Honda left the roadway to the right and struck a road closed barricade post. The vehicle then entered the east ditch and came to rest upon two supports of a highway sign. Pierson was pronounced deceased at the scene, he was not wearing a seat belt.
