Carrington, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—–Free throws and three pointers helped offset 27 Carrington turnovers as the Cardinals held on for a 43-39 win over the Lady Indians of Four Winds-Minnewaukan (FWM). The Cards made their first 12 free throws and finished 15 of 18 for 83 percent. The Cardinals made just 11 field goals in the game but 6 of them were from behind the arc. Madison Johnson paced the Cards with a game high 16 points which included a game high 3 made three pointers. Kacie Rexin and Olivia Threadgold both added 10 points to aid the Cards win. FWM was paced by Kendra Spotted Wolf with 11 points and Suri Gourd and Ava Gourd with 7 points each. FWM dropped to 4-7 overall (1-4 in region play) and Carrington improved to 8-3 overall and 4-2 in the region.
