Valley City, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The 8-1 Oakes Tornadoes are off to a spectacular start to the season with their only loss so far to EKM earlier in December. Last week they were ranked 10th in the NDAPSSA Polls and now they are ranked 8th in the state. They are being led by several key players including Lily Thorpe, Kassidy Jackson, and Brianna Schmitz. They now play RV Linton-HM at home on Tuesday. Their next game that can be heard on KDDR will be Thursday against Maple River as they start District Play.
Other big movers are Kenmare-Bowbells and Maple River breaking into the top 10 after not being ranked last week.
