JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The annual blood drive that puts Jamestown first responders against each other is being held Thursday through Saturday in Jamestown.
Weldon Roberts, Donor Recruitment Representative of Vitalant says the need for blood is constant.
Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger said that it’s a fact that most people will need blood at one time or another in their lives.
The event has been held annually at the Jamestown Civic Center but this year it has been moved to the ND Farmers Union state headquarters in Jamestown because of a scheduling conflict.
Those who donate blood during the three-day event will vote for Team Fire or Team Law and receive a t-shirt.
You can call Vitalant to schedule a donation at 877-25-VITAL(84285) or go to donors.vitalant.org and search blood drive code Jamestown to make your appointment.
The drive continues on Friday from 10:30 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
